Scholarship season for 2018-2019 will reopen in May of 2018.
Open to any incoming freshman or undergraduate college student. (Freshmen should provide an acceptance letter and returning or transferring students must present proof of enrollment.)
May pursue an undergraduate degree in any concentration.
No income requirement is set forth. However, universities require applicants to fill out a Free Application for Student Financial Aid (FAFSA).
Have and maintain a GPA 2.75 or above based on a 4.0 scale each semester.
Community service involvement is required.
Provide one letter of recommendation.
Must maintain full-time enrollment status as defined by the university throughout the duration of the scholarship term. (In the event that this requirement is not met, the student is eligible to receive the scholarship the subsequent semester if all requirements are met.)
Recipients are required to attend the 15th Annual HOPE Tribute to Hispanic Heritage Gala in September 2018. For an exemption, recipients must email the HOPE Executive Committee Board at HOPE@CPSEnergy.com.
Recipients will need to provide a three to four sentence biography (include major), a headshot photo, and contact information for communicating with the scholarship representative.
Proof of enrollment can be obtained from your university’s enrollment or registrar’s office.
If you are an incoming freshman or transfer student, please submit your acceptance letter as a substitute for your proof of enrollment.
Recipients must provide proof of enrollment before receiving your scholarship award.
The letter of recommendation highlights all of your leadership qualities that have been demonstrated at school or within the community.
